A few habits while stacking damaged mats will increase the cost benefit of every shipment.

  1. Flat-stack, don't roll

    Aim for around 100 mats per pallet. Freight cost per mat is lower for high-density loads.

  2. Send high-value inventory

    Avoid small mats with large interior damage or textile-top quality issues.

  3. Ship on your schedule

    No minimum, no timeline. Larger shipments optimize your freight dollars.

  4. No scraper mats

    Scraper mats can't be remanufactured.

  5. Clean and dry only

    All mats must arrive clean and dry.

Common questions

What kinds of damage can be repaired?
Interior slits and tears, damaged or worn borders, and rippling. We can also resize larger mats, add custom corner art, and permanently install RFID devices on existing mats. Pile separation cannot be repaired.
Is there a minimum order size?
No. There is no minimum order — you can send a single mat via courier.
How do I ship mats to you?
We accept mats in any container and packing style you prefer, and we can provide consolidated billing for freight and repair. To keep freight cost per mat low, flat-stack (don't roll) around 100 clean, dry mats per pallet and ship larger, less frequent loads. Send us the weight and dimensions and we'll handle the logistics. What happens to mats that can't be repaired?
When a mat has irreparable damage, we resize it to a smaller trade size whenever possible, so it keeps renting instead of going to the landfill.
Is the process certified?
Yes — NuMat is the only mat repair service certified by the National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI).
